What this website stores
Japan Booking Calendar uses localStorage for functions you request. LocalStorage is browser storage rather than a cookie, but it is explained here because it stores information on your device.
- jbc.trip.v1 — saved trip dates, cities, categories and experiences; retained until you replace or delete the trip.
- jbc.favourites.v1 and jbc.completed.v1 — favourites and completed booking tasks; retained until you remove them.
- jbc.recent-experiences.v1 and jbc.recent-searches.v1 — recent activity used to make navigation quicker; retained until you clear it.
- jbc.locale.v1 — language preference; retained until changed or cleared.
- jbc.consent.v1 — your analytics choice; retained until changed or cleared.
Optional Google Analytics
If a Google Analytics measurement ID is configured and you accept analytics, Google may set _ga and _ga_<measurement-id> cookies to distinguish visits and sessions. This website configures a maximum lifetime of twelve months and disables advertising signals and ad personalisation.
If no measurement ID is configured or you reject optional cookies, the Google Analytics script is not loaded. Withdrawing consent disables analytics and removes analytics cookies that this website can access.
Accept, reject or change your choice
Accept and reject choices are offered at the same level. Necessary local storage supports features you actively use and does not require accepting analytics. You can reopen the settings below at any time and change your choice.
You can also delete cookies and localStorage through your browser. Doing so may remove your saved trip, favourites and language preference.
Advertising
When a valid publisher ID is configured in production, the official Google AdSense script is loaded once for site verification and Auto ads. No manual advertising units are included. Google approval, availability and account settings determine whether an ad appears.
Before any Google tag runs, Consent Mode v2 sets analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization to denied. This website's own preferences panel changes only analytics_storage. A Google-certified CMP must be configured through Google's Privacy & messaging tools to collect and update advertising choices in regions where it is required; it operates separately and is not overridden by the analytics panel.
